Support

Email support@siteseen.app and a person reads it. We are a small practice-built tool, not a queue.

Reporting a problem? Send the build stamp.

In the app: Settings → About. Copy the Version and Build lines. The Build line looks like 05 Sep 13:50 · 3b5c972. It names the exact code you are running, which is the difference between a bug we can find and one we cannot reproduce. Tell us the screen you were on and what you expected instead; if it involves a downloaded file, attach it.

The field card

One page for the clipboard: the tape test, measuring on the map, what the readings mean, and the handful of things that would otherwise cost you the visit. The app carries the same card under Settings, where it works with no signal.

On site

The app will not fix my position, or the accuracy circle is huge
GPS under a canopy or against a building takes longer and settles wider. The number beside each fix is the phone's own estimate, and it is shown rather than hidden precisely so a bad fix is visible while you are still standing there. Wait a few seconds in the open, or capture anyway: the accuracy travels with the observation and into the export, so a wide fix stays labelled as one.
The satellite map is blank
The basemap is the one part of the app that needs a connection. With no signal, switch the map to Plan. Everything else keeps working: capture, measurement and review. This is the normal case on a rural site, not an error.
No address appears on my photo stamp
The address comes from a lookup that needs a connection. Offline it is left blank rather than guessed at. The coordinates, time and bearing are still stamped, and those are the parts that matter.
A measurement looks wrong
A photo-scaled measurement is only as good as the reference length you marked and the angle you shot from. Every one carries a confidence percentage and a plain-language sanity check for this reason. If it reads as doubtful, it probably is. Mark a longer reference, shoot squarer to the subject, and take it again while you are still on site.

Back at the desk

How do I get a visit onto my desktop?
Sign in at siteseen.app on the desktop and open the visit. Download it whole as one zip, or file by file: the PDF report, the spreadsheets, GeoJSON and KML, the photographs and the voice notes. The visit gets there by syncing from the phone, so there is nothing to send yourself.
Is my survey backed up?
Each visit syncs to your account as you work, on Wi-Fi only unless you change it in Settings. Settings → Sync shows what has gone up and, if something has not, why. Until a visit has synced, the phone is the only copy. Photographs, voice notes and the report stay on your account for 30 days after a visit was last worked on, and we email you a week before they go, so download anything you need to keep.
How do I cancel?
Paid subscriptions are not on sale yet, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing is ever charged. When your free trial ends it simply stops: nothing on your phone or your account is deleted because of it. To close your account completely, delete it from the app or at siteseen.app/delete-account.

What it does not do yet

Stated here rather than discovered on a site visit.

  • No live AR measurement. Measurements are scaled off a photo.
  • No zone or boundary drawing. The exported site extent is derived from where your observations actually are.
  • No offline satellite tiles. The map needs a connection; everything else does not.
  • Android and iPhone are both in field testing, on the same core. Neither is in the App Store or Google Play yet.

Accuracy, and what this is not

Siteseen's photo-scaled measurements are field estimates, not a substitute for a licensed survey or a stamped engineering drawing. Every measurement is shown with its own accuracy indicator and a sanity check so it can be verified against the photo it came from, but the accuracy depends on the reference length and the angle of the shot, and professional judgment belongs between a Siteseen measurement and a client deliverable.
